Logo protection is important for any business. If you have designed a distinctive logo and you intend to use it in relation to goods or services then registering your logo as a trademark is probably the best way to protect it.

UK trademark clearance searching starts at £200+VAT

Before you start using your logo it's important to check that there are no registrations of similar logos for the same or similar goods/services. If there are then the owner(s) of those earlier logos might be able to stop you from using your logo in the future. This is why we recommend a UK trademark clearance search before you start using your logo. The normal cost for a clearance search is £200+VAT.

UK trademark applications start at £350+VAT

Once we've checked you are free to use your logo, or if you prefer, without performing a clearance search, we can file a UK trademark application. The application will be examined to check that it meets certain requirements and a search will be done to see if there are any conflicting earlier registrations of similar logos. If no one opposes the application then the logo will proceed to registration and be protected as a UK registered trademark. The cost for an application with one class of goods/services is £350+VAT including the Government fee. If there are no problems with the application then only another £125+VAT will be payable.
